Vann Falquerho, a scenographer from France has designed a unique hotel – the Vila Hamster – that would help you to totally comprehend how your dear four-legged friends in cages live in the conditions that you provide for them.
Valquerho feels that the existing hotels in the world have nothing different to offers their clients than the usual fair. So he conceptualized the Villa Hamster, a one-in-its-kind hotel that is based on the hamster theme. The hotel was started in 2009 with $150 as the tariff for individual rooms. But the idea became so popular that the rates have been increased in the subsequent years.
In fact, Valquerho vouches that both children and adults have found the experience of living in the Villa Hamster thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable. The guests are also provided with the choice of wearing little hoods that remind you of hamsters.
Location
The Villa Hamster is located in the city of Nantes, towards the west of France. A chateau that was constructed in the 1700s was renovated for the purpose.
The facilities
The rooms of the Villa Hamster have been designed to resemble cages. The beds are actually haystacks. You can reach them only through step ladders. The rooms or rather cages have also been fitted with running wheels like in a real hamster cage. The difference is that these running wheels have been enlarged to fit the human size.
The food
Little containers have been filled with hamster feed that are organic in nature. The guests can serve themselves by collecting it in their palms and eating it. When you feel thirsty, water can be sipped through a tube. It seems that guests have to scramble on all fours in the Villa Hamster to make the experience complete.
But, in case you cannot do without that cup of morning coffee, coffee machines are available in each room for that energizing beginning to each new day.
