Found in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, the Ithaa undersea Restaurant is situated 16 feet under the sea. The hotel is part of Hilton’s chain of luxurious resort occupying two islands. Maldives is situated near India and Sri Lanka. The restaurant is considered one of the most unique structures in the world. Take note that it can only sit about 14 people. Visitors will be treated with 270 degree panoramic view of the sea. Ithaa was conceptualized and constructed by a designed agency based in New Zealand. This place opened in 2005. The five million dollars project took several months to build. The structure was constructed in Singapore and it was shipped to Maldives. It needs a big crane to lower it down the sea.

If you are planning to eat at this restaurant, the meals cost less than one would expect especially for a place that is below sea level. For hotel guests, lunch or dinner is very affordable. The price of the meals ranges from $120 to $250. This is not bad for eating delicious meal and at the same time seeing the beauty of the sea.The restaurant is serving a fusion of Maldives Cuisine with Western and Eastern touch to it. If you are planning to eat in this place, you will need to book in the advance. In entering the restaurant you must passed through the world’s largest aquarium tunnel. Because it is found in extreme condition, the said structure can only last for two decades.
